A team from West Career & Technical Academy, Kathleen McCarthy, Nikki Shi, and Skylar Kang, is embarking a journey with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to build the same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers. Our team will honor two amazing people, Ellen McCarthy (Kathleen's grandmother) and Kevin Palafox (a previous math teacher at west tech).

We as global leaders will help support the fight against blood cancer, through the pillar of RESEARCH.

• Funds cutting-edge research leads to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
• Research has allowed 1.6 billion dollars to be invested into pioneering science since 1949
